MATADOR TITAN is the latest development in our famous MATADOR blade series. It is yet another alternative for use by top athletes such as our sponsored players Luka Mladenovic (Luxembourg, World Ranked #86 in July 2024) and Leonardo Arata (Top 20 in the Brazilian national ranking). Just like its sister model MATADOR HYBRID CARBON, this new version MATADOR TITAN was also specially developed for this type of game: It offers highest speed for topspin attack with inverted and surprising effectiveness with pimple-out and Anti Spin rubbers. The outer plies are unchanged and still offer a rather hard touch, yet with good control. However MATADOR TITAN comes with a different composition inside. Instead of carbon, we placed a layer of Titanium fiber material on the forehand side, combined with Texalium on the backhand. Also the positioning of the fiber is different since we chose to put it around the core, not beneath the outer ply. This provides nearly the same speed as MATADOR HYBRID CARBON, but with more control especially for passive shots such as blocking and chop-blocking on account of more contact time with the ball. Also the opening topspin as well as counter-spinning is easier to perform. All in all MATADOR TITAN enables to produce a very aggressive attacking game with inverted or offensive short pimples, but with a bit more control thanks to the Titanium fiber material. Like all other blades from the MATADOR series the new MATADOR TITAN is an excellent match for offensive pimple-out rubbers and frictionless Anti Spin, producing a sinking ball and excellent spin reversal respectively. This makes it another great weapon for a powerful modern attacking game .
